Dear Somerset Woods Resident, Employee and family member

Somerset Woods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center primary focus is to provide the safest environment possible for our beloved residents and staff. This is a very difficult time for all of us and we are looking forward to getting back to normalcy as soon as possible

On September 15th-16th we conducted COVID-19 testing on all employees and residents in our facility. There were 21 new COVID-19 positive residents and 0 COVID-19 employees .  Those residents were properly quarantined and those employees were told not to enter the facility until further notice. We will resume with more testing this week and will provide an update when we receive results.  We continue to follow our guidelines in isolating any resident that develops symptoms for COVID-19 or tests positive for the virus. We remain vigilant in fighting and isolating the Virus to the best of our abilities.

I would like to thank all of our nurses, doctors and front line workers for their complete dedication and determination to fight the virus and keep all of our residents safe. Thank you!

Please keep in mind that  we are still offering  video chat through our Telehealth system. We are also in the process of setting up additional tablets that can be used by residents for Video calls. We are now offering outdoor visits as well, for those who want the in-person interaction with their loved ones. Please note, we are required to follow strict guidelines in regards to outdoor in-person visitation. For more information or  If you would like to schedule an outdoor visit or video chat with a resident, please send an email to or contact the facility at  732-653-3000 and ask to speak with the Social Worker.

I appreciate your understanding and continued support. We know this is a difficult time for everyone.  We remain focused on keeping or residents and employees safe and will do our best to keep communication flowing as the situation evolves.
