Dear Somerset Woods Resident, Employee and family member
Somerset Woods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center primary focus is to provide the safest environment possible for our beloved residents and staff. This is a very difficult time for all of us and we are looking forward to getting back to normalcy as soon as possible
Since our last round of COVID-19 testing on all employees and residents, we have one new COVID-19 positive case. The new COVID-19 positive resident is not currently in our facility. We also have one new COVID-19 positive employee. The employee is currently in self isolation. We continue to follow our guidelines in isolating any resident that develops symptoms for COVID-19 or tests positive for the virus. We have had one full recovery from COVID-19. This brings our total count of COVID-19 cases in the facility to 2. We are continuously performing more COVID-19 on all employees and residents in order to isolate the virus as appropriate.
Please keep in mind that we are still offering video chat through our Telehealth system. We are also in the process of setting up additional tablets that can be used by residents for Video calls. We are now offering outdoor visits as well, for those who want the in-person interaction with their loved ones. Please note, we are required to follow strict guidelines in regards to outdoor in-person visitation. For more information or If you would like to schedule an outdoor visit or video chat with a resident, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the facility at 732-653-3000 and ask to speak with the Social Worker.
I appreciate your understanding and continued support. We know this is a difficult time for everyone. We remain focused on keeping or residents and employees safe and will do our best to keep communication flowing as the situation evolves.
